Babbling Bubbles

Long story short, my friend introduced me to her friend and it didn't take a long time to figure out that things do work out between the two of us.
Not like any other couple that have 'I love you, do you wanna be my girlfriend?' confession part or a date to remember---that kind of date that the couple is officially being a 'couple', you know what I mean, right?---We decided to just loose it up and do it in our own way.

So, after few months has passed, I found that there are pretty much differences between us.
I mean, people were all born with different character to each other, but I never felt there are SO MUCH *bold italic underline* differences with someone I met before now, just like yin yang.
I decided to make the list below:
1. He doesn't get my fashion style.
Once in a while I went date with him and I wore some kind of clothes--that I think it's a hit recently like ripped jeans or pleated pants despite that its soooo comfy to wear--and it ended up he's saying that 'you know what? don't wear it again when we're out next time'. Eerr, OK.
2. I'm a big fan of martabak telur while he loves to eat martabak manis.
3. He likes to have his steak medium rare but I like it well done. Correction. I don't like eating steak in any circumstances.
4. I drink milk, eat seeds and all of their derivatives but he doesn't. Not even a bite.
5. I looove watching drama or tv series but action is really his thing.
6. He is crazy about certain football club and collect almost every uniform of it. Me? Never once in my life I've ever watched football match. Not even world cup.
7. Its always my turn to buy some snacks everytime we have vacation and it seem like he didn't enjoy it.
....aaand the list goes on.

Sometimes here come frictions between us everytime we argue about these-not-so-important-things. Even it gets confusing when there's a time for me buying something for him (food, cloth, etc) because deep down I'm afraid that he wouldn't like it. I've tried to put myself in his point of view and picked something that he might liked and of course, later I found out that he still didn't like it haha.
I know now that being in love doesn't take two people who have the same taste in everything, right? ;)

The most memorable moment I wanna share in this post is the first time I moved to Jakarta last year.
With a limited cash (Lebaran train ticket drained my 'college student's pocket') and accompanied with no one, I brought two cases one backpack all by myself.
Comparing to my friends accompanied with their parents or brothers the first time they went to Jakarta and stayed at hotel for several days, honestly I kinda felt pity to myself but hey, my sister was hospitalized at that time so I wouldn't whine to mom and force her to accompany me instead, right?
but lucky me I had my best friend here. She taught me to take commuterline or shuttlebus, taught me about do and don'ts applied here, and (of course) she took me to places I've never been before.
I stayed at her room for about two days (that is not that far from my workplace) then I learned about being Jakartans means I have to take a walk a lot. like, A LOT until my legs hurt.
But what I most concerned about living in Jakarta is the food.
No, not the one I get in mall or restaurants I am talking about, but rather than meal sold in food stall like warteg or pedagang kaki lima.
Its just freakishly pricey comparing to the taste I got and raw material they cook.
For me, it is just tasteless and make me miss all the food in Surabaya :(

And another thing I should take note is when I was asked about level of spiciness by waitress while ordering meal, do not answered 'medium' if I expected medium-spicy like I always had in Surabaya. I think medium-level here is another way to say 'mild' in Surabaya.

I don't know if is it just me or is there anyone else who feel the same way? lol

First of all, I don't try to convince anybody with everything I've shared on social media.
I've shared anything I found interesting or something written in a different point of view.
Once I shared some posts about religion, a text came and debate about it.
I mean, if you think you were right by living your life the way your own belief taught you, thats totally fine.
But hell dude, who are you to tell me that you're right and I'm wrong? I know I'm a sinner but it doesn't mean you're a saint too.
And there's no guarantee that your ustad is right and what I've shared is wrong.
The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and sometime they're just exactly the same.
Remember 'robohnya surau kami' story told when u were in school?
And remember a story about a whore who gave a dog a bowl of water and she deserve jannah afterward?
Life is full of uncertainty and when it comes to religion/belief, there will be no end to talk about it.
The story I mention is just a story after all, no one can prove whether if it's right or wrong. But neither your preach.
Just appreciate what others believe in and don't try to convince them with yours or you'll end up look like a fool.

Decided to make a quick post for BEC challenge this week in a last hour of submission 😂
Talking about favorite app in smartphone, let me show you the display of my phone first:

I like to keep it simple when it comes to application. I only download standard app, like (1) the-kind-of-people-my-age-downloaded-app or (2) the-kind-of-helpful-app-in-order-to-survive like grab, gojek, groupon and etc.
For me point no (1) means social media like path and instagram, photography app like vscocam (this is my favorite one), and chat messenger like whatsapp and LINE. I'm not really into BBM because its difficult to use. The preview isn't that simple and I tend to make typos and touch the wrong button everytime I use it.
But, the most favorite app for me is *drumroll* instagram 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻  pretty cliché, right?
I used to visit fashion blogs on PC back then but when I used smartphone I can follow them on my newsfeed and watch their pictures taken spontaneously (like selfies or what they currently eat), not like the one they post on blog. Its easy to access with a simpler preview of course. Moreover Instagram shows me what's happening, like the latest fashion trend, must visit coffee shop, or upcoming events held in town. And not to mention, online shops recommended by fashion blogger 🙈.
Here are instagram accounts I found interesting:
1. Fashion blogger: @anazsiantar, @tuulavintage, @chiaraferragni, @garypeppergirl
2. Food blogger: @inijie, @anakjajan, @permatadewis, @gagaldiett
3. Travel blog/acc: @thiagomlcorrea, @marischkaprue, @sjanaelise, @thebalibible

Not like any other posts in BEC this week which describe useful apps, I choose to explain the mainstream one 😂 my bad.

If you wanna join this challenge simply post your link into this site and let other member read and correct your grammar 😁 cheers!

Its been quite some time since I've started wearing hijab.
People who know me well will assume that I must have hit right on the head because my outfit for going to office and hanging out is not far from pencil skirt, short sleeves, tight shirt, transparent kind of fabric, or even backless clothes--everything that shows a little too much skin.
I didn't bother either to think about wearing hijab or lengthen my clothes at the first place, even when people around me try to convince me that I look better with hijab on.
And I didn't know exactly how it begin until one day I just think that 'okay, why I don't just give it a try?'

At first I begin to wear hijab everytime I spend my weekend with some friends (thank God the girl next door wears hijab too so I could borrow her scarves plus had her put it on me) and when my office mate saw my pic wearing hijab on social media she brought her (unused) long skirts and hijabs suitable for office look and gave it to me. Since then I gradually buy (ton of) scarves and look for a way to dress up in hijab appropriately in instagram until I find which styles (and online stores selling hijab and stuffs? hihi) that suits my own style well.
And that's how I officially quit getting dressed like a horny teenager.

... Not that official actually because sometimes I still put my hijab off when I go to buy porridge near the house or when some people being preachy about 'the-importance-of-wearing-hijab-and-how-come-you-start-it-in-this-such-age' to me or when I go to swim.

Psst, just be quiet and don't tell anybody about this :p

For me, new word to begin 2016 is to DO something I've never done.
To visit some places I've never been.
To get something I've never had before.
To experience something new.
To meet somebody new.
To take out some insurance policies and another investment.
(def right choice for a big money spender like me)

I want my 2016 to be pretty something.
I think that there will be a time when I just can look back and realize that I've been living my whole life wonderfully.
While I'm still young and free and having enough money to support that, why don't just give it a try? :p

Dear 34 year old me,
Hopefully in ten years,
you will have got ASAI or Actuary license,
you will have studied master program overseas,
you will have had a higher position in your company,
you will have got yourself a fancy home in this big city,
And you wont have had to look at the price tag when you go shopping.
At least those were all what you've always been obsessed with haha.

But darling,
Don't forget to slow down for a moment, take a deep breath, and look around.
Since I know you so well and you won't let anyone tell you what to do, you run as fast as you can, push yourself too hard until one day you realize you've missed something that never coming back: time.

Whether you act like you dont have problems in your life (and I know you do) dont forget to just loosen it up. You just have to let everything go. Dont stress out.
Like your (uuh umm) trainer slash psychiatrist said, spit it out or it will be 'poison' that eat you slowly in the upcoming years. Haha I still dont get it but I believe you do.

Although I dont know whether you will have settled down or not (since I had no one to date with in this age, pity me), ten years from now, I believe that you will have had a good lifeand keep improving yourself, knowing that you will make sure you won't live in a miserable (but a bit meaningful) life ever again.

P.S.: Finally I still can make it to the biweekly BEC Challenge this week :D
