I dont know exactly which one is my favorite cartoon because I read tons of comics since elementary school, but I can read this comics over and over without getting bored.

Written by Mihona Fuuji, it tells about a high school girl named Kotobuki Ran, who loves eating, shopping, fooling around, everything that has to do with fun.
Ranpyon (her nickname) is full of positive energy and able to motivate both herself and other person. If she wants something, like graduate from school or get extra money to buy latest boots, shes eager to work hard to get it. Plus shes funny.
She's not a romantic one but her relationship with his bf, monkichi (Kuroi Tatsuki) is kinda cute. Along with her friends, Miki and Aya, she experienced the bittersweet of love and friendship.
Whereas she claimed herself as the number one kogal in shibuya, she is raised in a cop family; her dad, mum and brother are police officers even her little sister wants to be like them someday. She thinks that being an officer is boring because she cant dye her hair and wear fancy clothes anymore.

Speaking of kogal, what is it actually?


Kogal is high school girls in Japan (especially Harajuku and Shibuya) , identical to shortened skirt, loose socks, dyed hair, make up, platform boots, and (sometimes) tanned skin.
Some people might assume this phenomenon is related to consumerism even prostitute, but this manga/anime picture kogals' life in a good way.
